Payton Gilmore - Urgent Care Manager

Payton is a proud Mississippi State University graduate with a degree in Wildlife, Fisheries, and Aquaculture Sciences. She has been in veterinary medicine for 5 years, with 4 of those years spent at Avondale Animal Hospital.

Payton is passionate about animal welfare and loves working with rescues, providing compassionate care to every patient she meets. Her favorite part of the job is forming lasting connections with clients and their pets while helping them live their happiest, healthiest lives.

At home, Payton is the proud parent of six pets—three dogs and three cats—and in her spare time, she enjoys curling up with a good book or volunteering her time to trap and care for feral cats in the community.
