Meet the Doctors

Dr. Michael Atchison

Veterinarian

Dr. Michael Atchison grew up in Columbiana, AL, about an hour south of Birmingham. In high school, he worked at local veterinary clinics then obtained a B.S. in Biology from the University of Alabama in 2011. From there he attended Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine where he had hands-on experience at the new state-of-the-art Bailey Small Animal Teaching Hospital and received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. His veterinary interests include pet dermatology, preventative medicine, surgery and internal medicine.

Dr. Bridget Mandeville Stephens

Veterinarian

Although Dr. Stephens grew up in Florida, she fell in love with Alabama while completing her undergraduate degree in Zoology at Auburn University. She then went on to earn her D.V.M. at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. After completing her degree, she lived and worked for two years in Winchester, TN before settling in Gadsden, AL. Shortly after she married Dr. Wesley Stephens, also a veterinarian. They have now moved to Birmingham with their 4 dogs and 4 cats.

Dr. Kendall Harris

Veterinarian

Dr. Kendall Harris grew up on cattle ranches in Texas, Tennessee and Alabama and from a young age knew that he would become a veterinarian. As a kid, he participated in 4-H, showing club calves, and as an adult, bred Arabian horses for over 30 years. At 15, Dr. Harris started working at Kent Animal Hospital in Birmingham's Lakeview District where he worked through high school and college. Dr. Harris graduated with high honors from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1980.
